Michael Wright Professional Accountant(SA)
Michael set up Wrightway Financial Services in 1994 shortly after finishing his degree and
articles in Johannesburg. A Professional Accountant, Registered with the South African Institute
of Professional Accountants (SAIPA), Michael is always on the lookout for opportunity, and relocated
his family and business to KwaZulu-Natal in 2001 where he has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Joining forces with Haydn Watkins, Michael went on to start The Financial Room in 2017 and, with more than
23 years’ experience to his name, it’s a testament to his character that many of his original clients are
still with him today.
Haydn Watkins CA(SA)
Haydn joined Moore Stephens CJL as a Trainee Accountant in 1990 while studying toward his degree.
Having completed his articles in 1995, it wasn’t long before he was promoted to Audit Manager and then on to
Audit Partner; a role that he retained for more than 12 years. Believing in the power of hands on experience,
Haydn spent a few years working in commerce before joining with Michael to form The Financial Room and focusing
on his passion – Business Intelligence.
Accounting and Bookkeeping Manager
Having begun his studies in Business Management, Nitesh was offered a position as a bookkeeper at a
company in Johannesburg where he was initially placed in charge of debtors, but soon promoted to
Financial Manager. Discovering a passion for Management Accounting, Nitesh switched his degree and
is currently working towards completing his studies as soon as possible. Nitesh joined The Financial
Room in 2017 and brings with him an innate sense of discipline and dedication to getting the job done
on time, every time.
After starting work as a typist in 1995, it wasn’t long before Charmaine was promoted to HR Consultant
in the bank where she worked. Driven to succeed, Charmaine went on to work in the HR field for 10 years,
completing various courses and attaining Certificates in Banking and Human Resources. Charmaine joined
the team in 2012 and has 5 years Sage VIP payroll experience.
